This is a hastily put together Kindlebook where the pictures only take up the top quarter of the page and seem to obviously have been taken from a Google image search on sharks. There's a line or two of text under each one. Some pictures are photographs of illuminated information signs in museums or somewhere and cannot be clearly read or viewed if they are an information picture as an image. The first page in the book is talking about Great White sharks but has a picture of a bull shark. Later in the book the Great White is mentioned as the most dangerous shark, yet pretty much any other book or documentary on sharks mentions the Tigershark and the Bullshark are the two most common species to have encounters with humans due to where they hunt their prey. The text in this seems to be put together by a little kid with no fact checking done at all, except maybe reading a blurb on a webpage where each photo was stolen from. This is definitely not something to be used as an educational tool and as the previous reviewer mentioned the photoshopped picture of a shark with its mouth open above the water bearing down on a guy swimming relaxed in the water just looks fake and ridiculous with has no educational value at all but a possibility of reinforcing ignorant Jaws style myths that sharks are out to eat swimmers so be afraid.Previously I'd read a book about Halloween by this author and thought it was okay but after reading this I have to seriously doubt and of the information contained in that one as being too accurate at all. About six months ago I read a much better beginner reader Kindle book on sharks called Shark (A Level 2 "I Love Reading" Reader). Another good one is Easy Readers for Kids: Sharks - Fun and Fascinating Facts and Pictures About These Mysterious & Captivating Creatures (I Can Read Books Series). Get one of those or something else instead!

Got This book by request of my friends 4 yr old. He loves sharks and he LOVES this book. Great for any age
While waiting at the doctor's, my grandson wanted to see something on sharks. The book was free and I downloaded it and began reading in seconds. Some pics get reused, but for a young child, it was perfect.
This book is short and you don't get much information but it is cheap I would suggest not to get it.Sorry
This book contains poorly assembled pictures thrown together with minimal text. The educational value of this book is minimal at best. Having a photo of a shark chasing a swimmer does nothing to educate kids - it only perpetuates the myth that sharks are out to get us humans. Not impressed. Do not recommend.
